This species is native to Mexico (common throughout Puebla).

Description

Echeveria setosa is an attractive succulent with short branching stems topped with rosettes of thick fleshy green leaves covered with fine white hairs. The rosettes grow up to 4.8 inches (12 cm) in diameter. Leaves are spoon-shaped, up to 2.8 inches (7 cm) long, and up to 0.8 inches (2 cm) wide. Flowers are orange-red with yellow tips and appear on up to 12 inches (30 cm) long stalks from late spring to summer.
